I have been refashioning again.

I loved this jumper- made by benetton and bought in a charity shop in Edinburgh. Seems new. However, I hate wearing wrap tops 'cause they are such a pest to take on and off. So it's not a wrap anymore. Possibly slightly less flattering but I will wear it now. I did the brain work for this last weekend, so not yesterday. Sewing on the press studs was a good brainless job for yesterday evening.

it's after midday and I am only just having morning tea. I have managed to copy and add seams to the coat pattern. Now I could sleep. I wish there was a party to go to tonight- I want to go to one- except I would be too tired so it's just as well there isn't a party I have to miss I suppose.

Well done! I have a bunch of things I'd like to refashion - perhaps we could do a workshop if we can manage to be in the same city at some point.

a workshop could be fun! might be a while before we have the time in the right location to do it. Also refashioning inspiration can need time to percolate. Took me a while before I saw the easy way to reconfigure this cardi but so obvious once you see it.

Yay for refashioning. I hope your 'new' cardi makes you happy. It looks like a happy cardi.
I have a few refashioning projects percolating in the back of my brain. Must bring them to the front some time soon.

Very cute!

It has come as a bit of a revelation to me how sewing can be an ideal thing to do when feeling sick. I have too little brain to do homework and too little energy to do housework, but I can sew simple things. Thanks to an afternoon on the sofa, I almost have workable underpinnings for some later period styles of dress.

Right now, I'm trying to resist the urge to cut fabric to have a trial run of something I'd like to wear for midwinter, but I probably should save my fabric and find something less fraught to work on. *sigh* Look at me rambling. Did I mention I'm sick?

Ya sewing is good but only carrying on with previously planned and/or cut things. The planning needs brain which tends to be absent while ill. In theory I should cut my new coat tomorrow but we will see.
