silly hobby of ours

while purchasing my morning coffee and arguably not quite fully awake- i noticed our most senior manager in the queue. I said good morning to him and ....curtsied- damn it! rotten silly hobby leading me to embarass myself. And he noticed. And he commented!! Doh.

I write this with one hand as my left is pinned down by a happily burbling budgie.

Tehe. I "head-bobbed" at my last interview. And my girls tend to curtsy at new people they meet outside of the SCA.

I say huzzah to people and in groups when we're celebrating, and I often refer to Australia as Lochac and Victoria as Stormhold, as if everyone should know these things.

What's wrong with curtsying, bowing, or addressing another as "My L---"?
It's memorable ("noticeable") to most folks, & may, conceivably make the difference between you & the average Aussie yob in their memories.

Not so important at the "Trades" end of things, p'raps ("Mate!"), but in the more educated, professional sphere, it is probably a bonus.
