I'm on a roll.

Take an invitation to a fancy dress party and one boring jacket bought from a charity shop.


Add some imagination, some hacking, some stitching and end up with Montjoye the petticoat pirate.

                             

I rather like these pics even though they don't show the jacket to it's best advantage. You can't see the fab epaulettes that I made. The white fluffy skirt was also a charity shop purchase. Sash borrowed from H from which you can imagine a sword depending (I was). Rest was bits of travelling wardrobe.

Quelle suprise, the prep for the party ended up being more fun than the party itself. That is so not unusual.
