I just got home from a delightful treat. At very short notice I found out that a friend of mine was in town from London with her Latvian boyfriend. We had a lovely chat over a meal. They gave me a tea towel from the V&A copied from a 16thC Italian cloth (printed only but still cute) and his band's latest CD. So nice.  It turns out that they feel I hold a special place in their relationship as I am the only Australian who has ever met the chap, until now. And I met him by accident on the same weekend that he met H, all very coincidental. H is one of those people that I haven't actually spent a great deal of time with but feel close to regardless. Strange how these things happen. Whereas some people I see most weeks and still don't feel a connection. I feel all buzzy and connected. So glad they made contact

I've been meaning to ring but haven't been at home due to a relatively hectic social life - making up for lost time. The alumni email address works fine - it's a permanent address which forwards to the current one, but the current one is the bigpond one.
