damn sneaky flu

OK, I admit it. I really do have the flu. Seems to be fashionable on this side of the country. I felt icky most of the weekend. Then stayed home Mon and Tues. Felt pretty good Tues and did a full day's work from my loungeroom. So, thought I would go to work today. Mistake. Felt more and more ill as the day progressed. So no office for me tomorrow. I am allowed to do some work online if I feel up to it but not field phone calls. This is the most supportive I have ever seen my boss of someone's illness.  Oh, and to add stupidity to illness, I have left my purse in the office. Just as well there is food in the pantry.

Ta dear. I feel more secure having remembered a cash stash put aside for jewellery mods. So I am not penniless after all. Will stay indoors today though. Definitely shouldn't be breathing on anyone. Am suddenly glad I bought all those opshop Cadfaels. Just what I need.

It seems a particularly bad flu season. Despite working in viral traps known as schools, I have been blessedly not infected--which I put down to exercise, good diet, years of viral bombardment and an immune system which has always tended to the over-active. So get well carefully!
