sure you don't need to know this but I want to record it, so there.
Plumber came again today. All while I was out, very mysterious, almost magic. I came home to find:
-the basin waste connected. I can use it, hoorah!
-the old mess of pipes out the back all gone! replaced by modern black tubing of some sort.
-as a result, the kitchen cold water pressure is fixed!!!! No more dodgy, icky, rusty water just dribbling out of the tap. Don't have to fill the kettle, pasta pot or water glass from the bathroom anymore!!!
-more evidence of kitchen liner boards, so tempting. Dad would still kill me I think if i ripped off all the nice clean plasterboard to go exploring.
-new loo is still in it's boxes in the dining room, and thusly still amusing me.
Another win for today. I bought one of the rugs in the auction I mentioned yesterday! old, hand knotted. Pink/grey/yellow/black with geometric motifs. I should post a pic. It is bigger than I thought. Must start taking a tape measure when I go visiting the auction house. things look smaller in that big room obviously. So later I will vacuum it to within an inch, wish I had a dyson. I thing the last owner had a cat judging by the white hair and the state of my nose. Then measure it to check it will fit , think it will live in my bedroom.
Funny thing. I got kicked out of my desk at 5pm. I knew I had to pack up to allow some office moving stuff on the weekend. Nobody told me that the work was starting at 5pm today. So I had to rush to pack up my desk and log off. I took that as a welcome message and came home. Go have a weekend, alright, I will.
Now for a well earned glass of wine and time with "Devil's Food". The book. I have no idea what is for dinner.
