today I had rather a shock. I came home about 8:30pm to find an actual intruder in my house! Not fun. I got scared, panicked, shaky but mostly angry, yelled at him a lot and ushered him out of the house. He was quiet but a bit arrogant and left without fuss or violence. The only violence was my screaming. He seems to have stolen my camera but nothing else that I can identify so far . Also made a mess of some things, most ickily my underwear drawer-Eew, nasty. The police have been, and the fingerprint police (without getting any fingerprints). More usefully
erudito and the wizard came over to help me calm down and detoxify the atmosphere. I will go to bed soon, helps that I won't be able to keep my eyes open for much longer. Don't think I will go to work tomorrow, there is a bit of tidying up and defending the territory to be done. Maybe I can log on and meet the deadlines anyway. Whatever. Just as long as the horrid man does not come back. Apparently there have been lots of robberies in the street this week.

I've been broken into twice now (thrice if you count the garage full of lovely power tools) but catching the person in the act, what a freaky thing.
I think you did the right thing in letting him go. trying to contain him might have resulted in your property being damaged but then maybe *you* as well, if he got out.
and I reckon you were really brave.
