I had been thinking about this project for a couple of years. Then a month or so ago I suddenly was gripped with an irresistable urge to start it. A patchwork woolen blanket made from scraps. A checkerboard arrangement with cool and warm colours. All the cool squares to have hearts embroidered or appliqued on them. Well, I can do 2-4 per day on the train it turns out and now they are all done! Now I get to have the fun of laying out the squares to assemble but now I need another train project. Oh, and I wasn't thinking of
baggyt at all when sewing the pink herrinbone one!

You sew fast, and you also sew very pretty things! I really like the one with the crown, heart and wings. It's quite beautiful. And the heart with the dots around it.

It looks amazing. And I'm glad you are enjoying and recycling the pink herringbone!
That brown/green/blue tartan - do I have a piece of that from your stash? Something you gave a while ago, even if it's not that - I found it recently, all cut out for a bias skirt, only there's a little 'moth hole' in the very front! Tiny, but fixing it will be conspicuous, what ever I do. And I don't have enough to cut another panel! Oh well. Not meant to be.
Post more quilt pix! That's an order! And read my poems - I is proud!

-I mean if I use the winged heart as the centre- that will dictate right way up. For the rest there will be much pointing in all directions Might rethink as I really want the whole thing to be slightly bigger.
-that tartan is leftovers from the blankie I made S+G for their wedding. Maybe I gave you some? Bah to moth holes- I just fixed another of those in my laurelling overgown.
-more quilt pics eh? your wish is my command. I am nearly finished the quilting part of the huge one I have been working on for about a year.
