Finally I am here!

wow, how many years has this taken? I have a computer at home and am actually on broadband as of about an hour ago!!! So I shall celebrate this fact by making my first ever LJ post and friending as many of you as I know usenames, a Saturday night LJ fest, is that sad? I shall also progress the construction of my new patchwork parlour curtain and start to re-read "Halfblood Prince" which I bought today. I have read it before but conveniently seem to have forgotten the entire plot, hoorah, I get to enjoy it all over again.

I like it when I find I have forgotten a book. (Happened to me last week in fact) But it does make me wonder why I am re-reading something that wasn't good enough the first time to be memorable. I suspect I sometimes read things without really taking them in.

well, I read someone else's copy (yours?) in a bit of a frenzy. wierd that I can't really recall anything of it, sure it will start to come back as I read but that is OK too. Ya, see you tomorrow. I will be brave and say "with luck it will be fine" while crossing my fingers off course.

yeh, D is me. You know, the sewing lass who camps up the hill at festi, hangs out with Abbotsford, obsessed with my house etc. How hard to describe oneself without a name?

Hey Finn. Took me a while to figure out who you were. Sure I'm fine with the friend thing, all good. Suspect my LJ will be mostly about sewing, gardening and some work whingeing. We'll see. Maybe music, need more in my life.
