for those that haven't seen it on. Soft focus valentines day edition. Um, read would have got a better shot if I had asked someone else to take it. I am mostly happy with it. The dress that is, not the photo. I now think I should have cut the neckline differently- with more coverage! Hopefully I will do better on the black one.

The frock looks lovely and the light gives it something of the effect of a Flemish painting. Let me share my tip for taking self-portraits with a digital camera: Stand in front of a mirror. Point the camera at yourself and look at the digital display in the mirror. That way you'll be able to tell when you've got the framing right and you can take a picture that doesn't have the camera in it. Your only limitation is the length of your arm and it's relationship to the camera's focal length.

I likeee! It looks like it moves well, a dress that likes to dance.

WOW

That looks just amazing.

I also think the framing was very appropriate with the pretty wooden frame around the mirror - if you hadn't had to put the camera in the shot it would have looked rather painterly.

You DO realise I may be coming to wibble at you at some point - I foolishly volunteered to make a cosplay costume for my young friend Sarah and it was (unfortunately) a huge success.

Now she and Freddy would like some more please, and more elaborate too, and....argh.
