Scotland trip highlight pic post number one. About people it turns out.
Enough for now. More pics later.
BTW I slept until all of 6am this morning! I have been feeling tired and sluggish all arvo but not so much now. Still, time to go at least attempt to sleep.
-The actual bestest thing was spending extended time with my brother. Ah, I was going to say I won't post a picture of him but I suppose I could. See, and you get a pretty mountain as a bonus. This is the path up to Arthur's seat, big lump of rock that overlooks Edinburgh. Yes, he was ahead of me 'cause he is fitter and I was distracted by the view. It was great to get to know his lovely wife a little better but I am not bold enough to post a pic of her.

Ah, actually maybe I am bold enough come to think of it. Below J is looking for puffins over a cliff on the Brough of Birsay in Orkney. One has to cross on a causeway that is only clear at low tide. We did see puffins and all.

Bestest thing the third was catching up with the lovely H who hosted me in London and generously gave of her Saturday to run a study visit to the costume room of the MOL. Extant garments! OMG we saw them in the flesh so to speak. Even got to handle them a bit. I am not allowed to post any pics of that part of the visit but I can show you the cutest thing we saw in the museum displays proper. Sadly I didn't write down the details but I remember it as a 15th C piece. So cute.

Catching up with kirieldp was of course also fab as previously mentioned. Spending time with R+J in London was also special. Was also good to see A/S and N/J again -more oz expats. I really won't post pics of them.
Also worthy of another mention are the two buskers I described in a previous post. Well here they are playing outside the National Art Gallery and below Edinburgh Castle. Great music. Yes I did give them some money. I count myself fortunate to have been there at the right time to hear them.
