Heidelberg- what to do?

so, if one wanted to take one's art oriented parents to Heidelberg, what is there to do? Someone recently said we should make an excursion out there, what for? [personal profile] lurextoga, was that you? Making the rash assumption that I might be well enough to do anything much before my folks go home, I am looking for stuff, destinations, plans.

Are you thinking of the Heide Modern Art Museum http://www.heide.com.au/? It also has a rather nice restaurant attached.

There was a discussion at [livejournal.com profile] sjkasabi's birthday, all that time ago. I think some of the more physical types were pondering rowing there.

(I presume you mean the Heide Art Gallery. It's definitely worth it.)

Hi

Sorry for taking so long to respond - no, wasn't me. But Heide is quite beautiful! There is nothing but art out there, though.

If they are still in Melbourne for a bit, I believe the McClelland gallery / centre in Frankston has some quite special stuff on at the moment.
