what causes offence?

hmm. I might be posting from here more often. Normally I don't notice the adds on LJ BUT.. in the past couple of weeks the Evony ads have SO been getting up my nose.  "Start your journey now my lord" accompanied by an overabundance of cleavage.. eeuw!! ickck! they have the wrong audience and I'm not liking it. I sort of want to visit to see if it is as bad as it seems but I'm afraid that it will be so I haven't. I'm squinting in revulsion as I write this.
