A couple of nice things happened today (as well as the sorry thing-fantastic)
1. I finally got my car serviced. The mechanic I found via Yellow pages map search was a ridiculously short walk to my workplace, friendly, had good english and not only gave my car back without grease in the drivers seat but also vacuumed it! Nice. He gets to do my timing belt if he is still in business after I have driven another 10,000km
2. I bought two pairs of shoes. One of them I had been looking at since the summer stock came in. I ended up getting them for $30 instead of the $130 they were originally priced at. The other were a bit more expensive but lovely classic dark brown leather italian sandals.
There is room for a third good thing. Or maybe the two pairs of shoes took up one good thing each.
