My fridge used to take up more than it's fair share of the kitchen and rather cluttered the way to the back door like so:

No, it is only hiding behind the dining room door. Note the neat alcove arrangement that my clever and generous papa built for me. Note also the nice old fashioned door to the bathroom (the cream one that needs painting). Behind that door now hides my washing machine and dryer where a rather inefficient cupboard used to be. Fantasic stuff. Move a bit of wall and both kitchen and bathroom seem bigger. Took dad about 4 days solid work though. Now I get to celebrate my spacious kitchen and clean up the plaster and sawdust that is on every flat surface in the house and some not so flat. Oh and go vote of course.

mrsbrown, In the demolition process preceding the alcove building, montjoye was very excited to find that the kitchen has lining boards buried behind the modern plasterboard. Hmm, I reckon papa would not be impressed if I gutted the kitchen to expose them. They are in pretty bad nick from the look of the ends we found and given there was a fire in the back of the house I suspect I would be disappointed in their extent. Tempting though.
Are 4 pics too much for one post? This will rather take up some space. Promise my next will be smaller
