I thought quatrefoil would be amused to see how appropriate her present is.

I was going to go get a load of mulch today. The garden needs it. Then I thought I would like to finish my planting first. Then I worked out that I would have to paint the fence, buy trellis and put said trellis up before I can do the plantiing. It is also sort of raining which means I can't paint the fence. So what will I do this morning? am running out of morning.  Maybe I should go get the mulch anyway? 'cause lets face it, I am never going to finish the planting. As in, I will do this round but there will be more if the last year is anything to go by. So I thought I would have a coffee while I decide.

Yesterday I finished the bodice alterations on doushkasmum's gown. It had better %^$#@  fit! I don't want to do that over. We will try for a fitting on the weekend and pin the hems, all four of them. Fingers crossed.

time to go indoors

well I did pull my finger out and go buy mulch. I bought half a cubic metre for $30, comes with free loaner trailer to get it home. All done. Discovered that mulch doesn't shovel very well. Haven't put it on the garden yet, wonder if I bought too much?

Then I accidentally started to paint the fence. Then it rained again, big heavy drops. I was not unhappy to take this as a signal to stop working outside. As soon as I got inside it stopped raining. Pah, I'll do indoors things this afternoon. Think I have worn out my right shoulder anyway.

 The fence paint is not the same colour as the lid indicates. The lid is a cool sage green. The paint actually turns out a nice warm sjkasabi green. Great colour but it doesn't really go with the house. Never mind. The fence is in pretty poor condition. I'll put a coat on the back yard fence to cheer it up.  Not sure I want it out the front. It won't be long before I shall have to have a fence replacement conversation with the neighbours.
