I did go to work today but I must say I had separation anxiety from my house all day and coming home was rather challenging. First solo entry to the house from work since the burglar experience last Thurs.  Took me quite a while to be convinced that there was no one else in the house. I was also only moderately useful at work today, can't afford for that to continue.  Really though I would love a week off. Like that is going to happen, pah.

In other unrelated news, I found out today who got the job that I was beating myself up over applying for. Turns out it is my ladder lending, chilli bush gifting mate who lives locally, also a mutual friend with the incumbent. I am rather pleased and very pleased for him, it is a good move if he wants to do it. Still feeling wierd but not bad that I didn't apply. My pride is pricking but I still think it was the right decision.

Also in crafty news:
-I have finished the pale tartan half circle skirt. It's comfy and pretty colours but not very fashionable. I might feel better in a close fitting top rather than the shirt I wore today.
- The binding is now attached to the big star quilt and nearly 1/4 sewn down.

I have actually written some Christmas cards, no falling down in shock anyone. Train travel is good for all sorts of things. Can't promise my handwriting was neat, more on the big swirly messy style.

I wonder when I will get around to putting the tree up?

And now for a hot chocolate, a biscuit and some quilt binding
