January Sales

I had lots of things I thought of doing today. The one that won was to make a foray out to the January Sales! figured if I didn't go today I wouldn't get there at all. Partic if I want to get to bash tomorrow, which I think I do. So, as expected, this took pretty much all day and wore my feet to what feels like nubs. The extra pleasant bit was successfully pursuading J+D to come too. The not so good bit was a work emergency that required many phone calls and much stress interspersed throught the shopping.

The haul- all of which I planned to get and all prices of which were reduced. The hat was the only whim purchase and I wanted a new one anyway.
-4 new tops for work-green/white pinstripe blouse with restrained frills, white linen shirt with pintucks, two beautiful fine cream cotton knits.
-a straw hat
-a silk scarf- paisleyesque teal/green/black
-two tshirts- plain black, brown/white stripe
-a mundial 'utility' knife
-bathmat and washer to go with the divine towels bought in Scotland- actually italian.
-thread and buttons to continue the Durer frock- note no fabric!

add this to the 3 Laura Ashley tops (red linen-cotton knit, black cotton and lace blouse, lacy cream cotton cardi) plus new black Gabor pumps
bought last week near work.  I'm pretty happy with this lot. Except that sjkasabi  managed to buy the shoes that I have been desiring for months- lucky her. They didn't have my size when I looked, bother. Good job I like her and can enjoy her enjoying the shoes, we even take the same size!!

Don't think I should be allowed near shops again for a while except for groceries of course.

Now I vaguely want to socialise tonight but have set nothing up and am too tired just now to go anywhere. Never mind.
