white wall and the great jeans hunt
well, I exhausted myself again today. I painted the front wall, well the front of the front wall, 2 coats. Now my right wrist would rather not be typing this and I am stiff and sore all over. Am glad I have a theatre outing planned for tomorrow or i might be tempted to either paint the other side of the wall or take a load of old weather boards to the tip, or both. Actually I will state that I shall do neither tomorrow, I need a rest.
In between coats I wanted an outing. So I was brave and went shopping for jeans. Now this is not something likely to cheer me up, quite the contrary. I have not been willing to try this for ooo about 5yrs or so? They pretty much never remotely fit and I end up feeling misshapen and blobby. However I was feeling strong and I really needed some. So after trying on about 20 pairs in 6 shops and disappointing several very helpful assistants... I did in fact buy a pair. quatrefoil for your tip. Myer produced the best of the options available. The petite version did not work though, the whole cut is vertically compressed, not just shorter legs. So I had to buy tall people jeans and will have to cut the usual foot or so off the bottom. I still think though that to get the jeans I want I am likely to have to make them myself -oh for more time- and that said while I am on holiday!
